Crabs?

After grad, I went on a trip to Massachusetts with Barb, Chloe, and Amé. We got an Air BnB in the basement of a home that sat right on the beach, it was perfect. One morning before we went on one of our journeys we walked on the beach. On this walk, we found the aftermath of a massacre. The fat-cat-seagulls had a big breakfast on the beach, leaving dozens of empty crab shell husks lying dormant on the beach. We collected the bodies and gave them a proper celebration of life on the couch of our Air BnB. We set up a makeshift studio with a poster board and BnB lamps while propping up the shells with skewers and Play-Doh. I shot on Portra 400 Aym had gotten me as a graduation gift, while Aym and Chloe assisted with lighting. The first crab found its final home in a shadowbox in Chloe's apartment, the rest reside in a bag under my desk that has not been touched since the trip. Terrified of the smell waiting for me. I will remember this moment forever.

For Amé, Barb, and Chloe!
