This project began as a study in building a cohesive icon language around the physical tools and environments of photography. Obscura is now a UX/UI design system that rethinks how photographers move through their work.

Current tools separate file management from editing, creating unnecessary friction in a process that should feel continuous. Obscura brings these actions into one seamless workspace, designed for speed, clarity, and flow. The system is built around a custom typeface and a library of 100+ icons, forming a cohesive visual language across desktop and mobile interfaces, as well as branding, advertising, presentation design, and apparel. By simplifying complexity and unifying the experience, Obscura keeps the focus on the work, not the workflow.

This project explores how a single visual system can evolve from iconography into a complete design ecosystem.
